| The Parade Helmet was part of the James Curle finds in the 1905 to 1910 Archaeological Dig. This
helmet has up until September 2005 been part of the Newstead Exhibition at the National Museum in Edinburgh. It is with
great pride
that it is now on display in the Museum in Melrose.
The Helmet is contained in an all glass display cabinet that has all the require anti-theft and alarm systems to protect what
is a unique and well preserved Roman find.
This display is currently the centre piece of the Museum and is well worth visiting. Come and enjoy all the other interesting
items on display; for a fuller idea on the contents of the Museum click here.
