Roman Actors
The Safari marked the start of Scottish Archaeology Month in the Borders and was led by Liam and Kyle Blain as Roman Soldiers along with Jessica Bennett as a Roman Lady.

The 70 strong group on the walking safari were welcomed by Dr Reid (Chairman of the Trimontium Trust). The Eildons information board was unveiled by Dr Reid, the South Annexe board was unveiled by Ian Brown (one of the walking guides) and the East Annexe board by the Roman Actors.
Leaderfoot PillarTower
Liz Ellis unveiled the grey 'Leaderfoot Marker' pillar. Walter Elliot introduced Judith Nichol from Tweed Forum who cut the ribbon at the Leaderfoot timber tower.
The safari went via the old railway track to the timber watchtower then on to the railway viaduct.
Grant Lees recited 'Horatius' at the Old Drygrange Bridge to general acclamation.
Roman Dere Street
Also visited were the site of the Lonie dig on a section of Roman Dere Street, the Leaderfoot Pillar, Old Drygrange Bridge and finally the Drygrange Roman Stone Summerhouse.
